It is so easy for moms to get stressed, it’s also super easy for moms to forget to do a little something for themselves. I know for me I always say, “oh yeah I want to do this or to have this done,” and then time passes and I never do or the money I had set aside for myself I end up spending on Cameron. I don’t mind at all doing that, but there are some times you really just have to put yourself first. As I try to remember, you have to take care of yourself or else you won’t be able to take care of your kiddos.
Here are some of my favorite ways to self care and sort of pamper myself.
Bubble baths– this has been tried and true for me since way before I even became a mom. Have a headache, take a bubble bath, have a hangover, take a bubble bath, want to relax, take a bubble bath. Once I became a mom, bubble baths became few and far between but every now and then I do get to enjoy some alone time with my bubbles and my book.
Face masks– I have recently become mildly obsessed with face masks. It’s mostly been the sheet face masks now that those seem to be the easiest to find. What is super great about them too is that they don’t take a long time to do so it also helps when you may not get a lot of time to really pamper yourself. I also love trying different kinds and seeing what they can do for my face.
Massages– this is one that although I say I’m going to do, and set money aside for, I still have yet to treat myself to one. One of these days, when I don’t feel so guilty about spending money on myself I’ll do it.
Mani/Pedi- I used to love getting my nails and toes done, and when we lived in Tally I had some of the best places to go, but then we moved to Cali and I just could never find a place that had decent enough reviews for the prices so I just never treated myself. Now that we are back in Florida I’ve been on the hunt for a new salon so my hands and feet do need a little love being back in the Florida heat. Luckily for me I get the basics which don’t cost an a and a leg so I don’t feel so badly about allowing myself to get them done.
What are some ways you treat yourself? Or pamper yourself? Do you have any self care tips?
